Arthritis

Arthritis is a condition when your joints become sore, stiff, or swollen. This is typically caused from getting older, from past injuries, or it can be your immune system attacking your joins. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this, but there are ways to make it less painful such as light exercise, physical therapy, and pain medicine. If the condition worsens, some people get shots or surgery.

Diabetes

Diabetes occurs when you can’t control your blood sugar. This happens because your body isn’t making enough insulin which can lead to problems over time. There are two types of diabetes with Type 1 meaning that insulin has to be taken daily while Type 2 can be managed with healthy eating and exercise. Treatment is mostly focused on lifestyle changes, regular checkups, medicines, or insulin, but it usually depends on the type.

Cognitive Impairment

Cognitive impairment means having more trouble with usualy memory, focus, or making decisions. It ranges from forgetting names or it can be an early sign of future problems. It can be caused by normal aging, illnesses, vitamin shortages, or past head injuries. Treating the cause may improve brain function. Staying active, keeping the brain active, and medicines can help slow changes and may help with symptoms.

Demetia

Dementia is caused by damage to brain cells from diseases like Alzeheimer’s or from strokes. Early sings can include forgetting famillar places or people, having trouble speaking or understanding, and changes in mood. There is no cure, but treatments can help slow down changes and medicines may help with memory or behavior.

Alzheimers

Alzheimer’s is the most common cuase of dementia. It can start with small memory slips and will slowly affect more thinking skills over time. The exact cause is still to be determined, but it is linked to changes in the brain, age, and family history. Unfortunately, there is no cure, but it can be slowed down with medicines and staying active along with other remedies.

Heart Disease

Heart disease can be caused by a variety of factors such as hiigh blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, diabetes, and inactivity. Stabilizing heart disease can take time, as it takes a huge toll on the body. So, to reduce its effects, one would have to make lifestyle changes through diets, exercises, medications, and surgeries if really necessary.

Stroke

A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked or a blood vessel bursts and causes brain damage, It can lead to sudden weakness of numbness on one side of the body and it is an emergency and getting treatment quickly can save brain function. After immediate care, recovery often involves speech and physical therapy to regain lost skills. To prevent a stroke, managing blood pressure, quitting smoking, and staying active can help with this.

Obesity

Obesity means that your body has more body fat than healthy. It can increase the risk for many other conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis. Treatment is most slow and steady weight loss through better diet, regular exercise, and sometimes medicine or surgery if it is severe.

Sickle Cell Disease

Sickle cell disease is a condition where red blood cells become hard and crescent-shaped rather than smooth round disks. This can block blood flow and cause pain. It can also lead to other problems like infections, swelling, or vision issues. It is something a perons is bone with. To stabilize sickle cell disease, one can either go through bone marrow transplant as a permanent cure, gene therapy (through early stages), or medications to reduce pain and symptoms.
